Looking for places to take Dad on his special day? As Denverites ourselves, we know how it can be difficult to find events that haven’t been cancelled or postponed. So, we’d like to present you and your family a few local events we think your Dad will love. While the city may still be timid surrounding COVID-19 concerns, these events will safely give your family an escape from quarantine.
What dad could pass up giving archery a shot? This Father’s Day, High Altitude Archery is celebrating by offering Fathers a free experience with their paid children. The event is beginner-friendly and will have instructors standing by to run the entire family through the basics. Targets and range time will also be offered during this special!
Father’s Day Poker Brew Run
Registration is open now through June 20th.
Some days, dad just wants to enjoy nature. But if he could use a little enticing, why not add card games and drinks to the mix? The event is simple, and you can take dad to any trail he’d like. For each half mile you run, you’ll be dealt digital poker cards to construct a winning hand! The great thing about this event is that there are multiple types of registration, including a completely virtual option if you can’t make it to the brewery. They’ve also posted that prizes will be given to the best dad joke as well, so make sure to get your groan-worthiest gags ready!
As active as dads can be, sometimes it’s nice to relax in a soothing environment. Shiki Dreams, from the artists at Prismajic, promises a calming experience that will inspire creativity and exploration. Shiki Dreams is an interactive art installation that offers guests a downloadable app and a blacklight that will allow them to explore the exhibit and reveal hidden messages. With calming music, scents, and interactive pieces, dad (and the entire family) will find a wondrous escape within Shiki’s dreams.
Lastly, we at EscapeWorks Denver would also like to honor dads in our city by offering them a free try at one of our escape rooms. Just use promotional code DAD on our booking site, and Dad escapes free with a minimum of two other participants, from Friday through Monday this weekend. Our Speakeasy Beyond the Flower Shop room has everything a father would love: a speakeasy bar, mystery, and the charm of Prohibition-era Denver. Have a safe and happy Father’s Day, and don’t forget to show Dad your appreciation!

The casino heist room was phenomenal! We barely made it out with 5 people! Xander was extremely helpful and attentive to when we needed extra hints. Would definitely come back to EscapeWorks

ELLIE our game master was super helpful. We did the Egyptian Tomb and she knew when to give us hints vs when to let us work. It was actually super fun and we were able to make it out in time!
