6 Things To Do in Denver

Downtown Denver Colorado Escape Room

Denver is an active city. There are hundreds of activities to do in the Mile High City. No matter what activity you prefer, you know Denver will have it. Here are the 6 best things to do in Denver:

Breweries

Recently, micro-breweries have flocked to the West. Rocky Mountain water gives every beer brewed in Denver a crisp clean taste straight from the tap. The Coors Brewery tour in Golden is free to the public and provides free samples. If you are looking for smaller breweries, check out the tour at New Belgium Brewery in Ft. Collins. In the middle of Denver, there is also an official Denver Microbrew Tour, with stops near the Ballpark and in the LoDo neighborhood — perfect for the beer connoisseur.

Book Readings

Additionally, Denver is also home to many authors and poets who like to present their works in local bookstores and coffee shops. On Sunday nights there’s a poetry slam at Mercury Cafe, where anyone can sign up to present their poem or just come by and listen. There are also book clubs at the Tattered Cover, a local book store specializing in local, independent authors.

Trivia Nights

Next, are you looking for something to do in Denver where you can showcase your knowledge of random information? Check out the trivia nights hosted by many bars in the Denver area. Geeks Who Drink is popular in Denver, hosting a pub quiz most nights of the week. On Wednesdays the Irish Rover hosts a quiz and Stoney’s Bar and Grill has a trivia night on Thursdays.

Opera House / Plays / Ballet

Denver is home to the world-renowned Colorado Ballet, featuring world-class ballet dancers at various theaters throughout Denver. Some of Broadway’s most famous plays, like The Lion King and The Book of Mormon, have performed shows at the Bellco Theater. Next door to the Bellco Theater is the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, where opera enthusiasts will be delighted that every seat tilts backward in the theater.

Meow Wolf Denver Colorado Escape Room

Meow Wolf

In addition to Santa Fe and Las Vegas, Denver is also home to a Meow Wolf! This location is an enormous addition to the growing chain of interactive art exhibits. It’s an astounding 10x the size of the Santa Fe Meow Wolf, so this is an amazing place to get lost in for a few hours. From a strange extra-stellar forest to an alien city, you’ll always find something new with each visit- and, if you’re feeling up to it, stop by the gift shop to get some incredible merchandise!

Puzzles

The new trend for entertainment venues are puzzle rooms. Teams from 2 to 8 players congregate in individual rooms where the team has one hour to unlock the door. Each room has a theme, and there are puzzles, clues and codes spread out in the room, ready to be solved by each team. Because the clues are unique to each room, some clues might lead to another clue, a way out of the room, or even a hidden room! The fun keeps going until the timer runs out, creating a sense of urgency and entertainment as the night wears on.

One of the best puzzle rooms in Denver is EscapeWorks. The best way to escape life’s struggles is to try to escape our puzzle rooms! With a variety of themes to fit any team, we can be the one place where fun and brain power come together to create one memorable night for you and your friends.

If you have any questions about our puzzle rooms, contact us at EscapeWorks Denver and we will be happy to assist you!
