From a first date with a new beau to a special night after decades of marriage, keeping dating interesting can be a little difficult. Luckily, the Mile-High City is full of possibilities, boasting a little something for everyone. Here’s how to make the most of your date night in Denver.
Hit a Renowned Restaurant
As a city fit for foodies, there’s always somewhere delicious to try in Denver. From the Parisian-inspired To The Wind to the pan-Asian Cherry Creek hot spot Departure, there’s no better city for adventurous dining. Want a drink after dining? Cocktail bars like Williams & Graham and Green Russell provide an experience you can’t miss.
Rent a Boat
Denver is a city known for outdoor excitement, and a little boating is a wonderful way to enjoy a beautiful day. With plenty of options – City Park, Washington Park, and the Aurora Reservoir all rent boats for a few hours of fun – an afternoon picnic and paddle can provide plenty of opportunity to bond.
Get Dessert
Who doesn’t love sugar? If you’d like to satisfy your sweet tooth, Denver is home to numerous destinations centered around your favorite meal. Check out the highly lauded boozy bread pudding at Crave, Baum Cakes at Glaze, or a little taste of everything with the three-course sampling menu at D Bar.
Visit the Butterflies
It may sound a little silly, but a good date can have both literal and metaphorical butterflies. At nearby Westminster’s Butterfly Pavilion, you can enjoy over 5,000 animals, including 1,600 butterflies, sea creatures, Rosie the tarantula, and more. Don’t miss the twice-daily butterfly releases at 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm!
Get Cooking
A cooking class is always a good way to pass the time, providing a hands-on activity that teaches teamwork, collaboration, and valuable skills. If you and your date want to try your hand at gourmet cooking (and gourmet eating, of course) The Seasoned Chef and Stir Cooking School can provide a night out perfect for any home chef.

Really fun escape room! We did the vampire hunter room. We really felt like we were actually in the vampire lair. The puzzles were challenging and spooky! Our game host, Sara, did a great job of narrating how we got there. She also did a good job of keeping up with us and helped with a few tips. Great room and would def recommend it!

Sara was great game master. The Egyptian room was really immersive and fun. There were really cool mechanisms that unlocked things that I didn't expect. Definitely one of the better and most creative escape rooms I've done.

Gabby was the goat today #thebest I miss Wyatt though :( he game mastered 3/5 of our games here(we have now completed them all) and we used to request him specifically cause he was so good. If there were more games here we would request Gabby! she was epic and deserves a raise. Vampire Slayer was epic, such a cool set, Pirate room was also super cool, it was huge which is great for a big group, and the speakeasy is one of the best rooms I've done recently! those three games are totally worth the price! Honest feedback as someone who has played SO MANY escape rooms, update/overhaul Casino Heist. Puzzles made leaps in logic larger then I have seen in any other escape room. the puzzles were also worn out and some did not work. my fav part of that game was leaving :/ Also Egypt needs some work, its SO dark, and some of the puzzles were really cool, but some did not make much sense at all.
