Denver Restaurant Week – here are our favorites

outer view

Denver Restaurant Week is here from April 23-May 2! In this post, the staff at EscapeWorks would like to tell you about some of our favorite Restaurant Week deals, as well some of our other favorite places to eat in our lovely town. Try one of these places the next time you go out, whether or not you’re looking to escape a room!

Restaurant Week Offers

The World Is Your Oyster at Blue Island Oyster Bar - 5280

Blue Island Oyster Bar + Seafood (Kyle’s Pick)

Our favorite for only $35 per person:
Smoked Trout Dip w/Red Onion Marmalade, House-Fried Yukon Potato Chips

Prime-Aged Sirloin Steak w/Caramelized Onion-Cremini Mushroom Demi-Glace, Parmesan Potato, Asparagus, Béarnaise Sauces

Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake w/Macerated Berries, Fresh Whipped Cream

Kyle’s got a great deal of kind stories about BIOB’s staff, and their food looks delicious as well! This may get an honorary award for longest RW deal on this post- almost every item on the menu is specially crafted!

Little India Restaurant - 6th Ave - Denver, CO | OpenTable

Little India (Juan’s favorite)

RW deal: For $25 per person, you receive one appetizer/soup/salad, one entrée, one order of rice, one order of naan bread, and a bottle of wine.

While the Champa Street location isn’t listed on the Restaurant Week site, we’d be remiss if we didn’t include Little India! Their Tikka Masala is one of the best in Denver, and it’s convenient to boot.

Linger (Katy’s choice)

Our pick for only $35 per person:

Spicy Pork Potstickers w/Sambal, Crispy Shallots, Garlic, Ginger, Lemongrass, Sweet Soy

Potato Masala Dosa w/Crispy Lentil Crepe, Squash, Peas, Apricots, Sambar Potato, Tamarind Date & Coconut Mint Chutneys

Cherry Hand Pie w/Cherry and Cream Cheese Filling, Candied Ginger Sugar

Linger is a Denver restaurant that respects its history, as it used to be a mortuary. It’s a great place to visit if you’d like a piece of history in your meal! I had to mention Linger on this list after doing some research on our own building… More on that in the next blog post!

El Five | Central Denver | Tapas, Mediterranean | Restaurant | Westword

El Five (Matt’s favorite)

Our gluten free pick for only $45 per person:

Moroccan Lamb Sausage w/ Hummus, Fava Beans, Feta, Tomato, Pea Tendrils, Lemon, Mint

Iberico Pork Loin w/ Pine Nuts, Grapes, Paprika Potatoes, Fennel Salad, Pedro Ximenez, Salsa Verde

Turkish Tiramisu w/ Candied Almonds, Coffee, Brandy, Mascarpone Crème Anglaise

I used to make restaurant deliveries across Denver, and I just had to add El Five to the list. While they’re a gorgeous upscale eatery, they remain as kind as any other. The confidence in their cooking is outclassed only by their friendly staff!

Other Staff Picks

Although these eateries have no Restaurant Week offers, they’re close by and hold a special place in our heart. Scroll down for our staff favorites!

What the pho? What the Pho (Sunny’s Pick)

Our staff has consistently ordered from What the Pho whenever we needed a big meal quick n’ easy. What the Pho holds nothing back, and always fills their bowls to the brim. Each bowl comes with a wide variety of ingredients on the side, offering exactly what you and your pho-freaky friends could ask for.

Menya Ramen all the way ! - Review of Menya Noodle Bar, Sydney, Australia - TripadvisorMenya Noodle Bar (Claire’s Pick)

In the same vein as What the Pho, Menya Noodle Bar is one of the best options for Asian meals, specifically Ramen or Poke. Another great option for quick and easy food during a shopping spree on 16th street!

Tea Cloud (Tobi’s Pick)

Not to create any competition between the two poke places near EW, but Tea Cloud is another great option! If you’d like to splurge and pick up a boba tea while on your next poke kick, we’d definitely suggest Tea Cloud. Be sure to check out their website for some interesting boba options- I’m looking at that brown sugar and chocolate one!

Well, I hope at least one of these options on our list interests you. Go out and try something new- let’s be honest, you probably need an excuse to go out and relax! And while you’re out, why not stop by EscapeWorks and have some fun?
